This is one of my favourite movies, too...incidentally, the DVD has one of the most boring commentary tracks i've ever heard (but i've not heard the Ebert one, the one by the crew or whatever).

I love the movie, so a Director's Cut would be most welcome...as long as it doesn't make the movie worse (i.e. The Warriors).

I'm a little concerned as to what this could possibly mean... I feel like Proyas had a lot of say in how the film turned out from what he's said on his website's forum. He also said very little was cut/unable to be filmed due to budget constraints.

In theory I'd certainly be interested. I'll have to give some thought into it after some reviews come in though. I only just managed to skip the Warriors bullet.

Like others, I loved this movie but am also going to be careful about getting excited about the Director's cut. I'll check out the reviews first and if everything sounds cool, then I'll definitely buy it.
btw, they're practically giving those The Warriors C dvds away at Wal-Mart. They're like $12 Canadian. Might pick one up for the features.

![]() Pretty simple really - the new DVD version of this coming out. It's being marketed as "Director's Cut". Anyone have any details? Quote:

This was announced awhile ago, but basically the DVD and blu-ray will have both versions of the film on the disc so everyone is happy. I'm not sure what's been added or changed, though.

I'd forgotten that Proyas did I Robot. That was such a disappointment.

Awesome news. This is such a great movie, I'll be happy to double-dip. Can't wait to see the special features.

The DVD release only has the director's cut version. It's not too big of a deal though, because the director's cut rocks. Not only is the unneeded narration gone, but more character development has been added that especially helps William Hurt's character. The bonus features contain all the old documentaries as well as updated commentaries. Well worth picking up!
