I just got a job at BLockbuster and you get like 20 free rentals a month, and they have Boogeymen so I'll pick that up as one of my free rentals. I start tomorrow so I don't know how long you have to wait to get the free rentals, but I imagine it's probably not too long.

I got Boogeymen last week. I really liked it. The Commentary by Robert Englund was great.

Damn you Phelps! Blockbuster won't let me work there for 5 more years. Damn child labor laws...

Wait how much do they pay?

They don't pay much starting off. I'd tell you, but it's embaressing and I'd have to kill you. But I figured it out and it's 240 free rentals a year at $3.79 a piece and 20% off anything i purchase so it adds up pretty good. Plus I get to rent the movies before they are released for rental, so I can show off to my two friends. Well not that there's much good new stuff coming out but still they're free. I'll be able to see Ginger Snaps before it comes out. Oh yeah! But even though they don't pay too much, it sounds like its a simple job. Oh man it'll be like Clerks. Act polite to the customers and make fun of them while they are walking out. I wonder if Blockbuster is still a wussy store with everything cut.

You're going to hate it. Wait until you see a kid say he wan'ts to watch a horror movie like TCM, Evil Dead2, Phantasm or something along those lines. Then his mom will say why do you want to watch a crappy movie like that? Let's get Chaimen of the Board(Bored) with Carrot Top instead.

And you will not believe how many people will ask for a copy of a movie that is either still in theaters or hasn't even been released in theaters yet. I have been at the video store when this has happened and the lady actually got mad at the employee when he told her it doesn't start showing at the movies until the following week. She told the guy he didn't know what he was talking about and should go find another job! Be prepared to meet the dumbest people on earth.

Yeah, I'm always prepared to deal with stupid people where I get jobs. I bussed tables for three years, and you get some stupid people in there, and I worked at Food Lion, where it was my second day, and I was put on the express lane, but noone told me, so I helped this woman with like about 200 groceries, and it took forever and the guy behind her threw his stuff on the floor said something smart ass to me and left. So I'm fully prepared to deal with crazy assholes.
I've been in the video store tons of times and heard what you are talking about. "Hey you got that movie...uh..whats it called?... something about meet the inlaws? You mean Meet the parents? Yeah thats it wheres it at? Uh that one just came out in theatres yesterday." I thought that was pretty funny, so I figure I'll get to laugh alot while working there. Then I'll come here and bitch about how everyone should be like me and read about and know when movies comes out and whos in them and what have you.
Well at least the manager there was really cute. That didn't help the interview though, I can't even look attractive girls in the eye, and I had to talk to this girl and sound personable and polite like I was a good person to hire. God hates me. BUt it worked so maybe he is lightening up?

Just a little tidbit: if you belong to a Sams Club they have Boogeymen for $12.99 as where everyone is selling it for $14.99. Always good to save a couple of bucks when you can. Hope this helps.
Chris.
