Now you got me thinking about this dvd again. That dvd has to be the most asked about to come out with an uncut version.

Apparently not for this V-day.

It is long overdue, but it's Paramount. I'd guess there's an small chance this and the Friday The 13th flicks might get uncut Blu-Ray releases someday. I'd say the chance of them coming uncut on dvd are as good as the Lions beating the Texans in next year's SuperBowl. For those not into sports or math, that equals 0. (Other regions are the only hope for MBV, unless Paramount has the overseas rights to those as well the Friday sequels.)

I read somewhere the director was talking about who had the original print of the movie. And it sounded like he didn't have it himself (which he was saying he wished he did) so he could put leverage on Paramount to let him release it either with them or some other company.

Yeah, Paramount needs to let these flicks go. They don't really want or care about them. AB or BU would do nice uncut discs if given the chance, and I'm sure P would make some coin from that. Then again Paramount are fucking bastards. The boycott continues from my end. I'll only check out Paramount discs from the library or buy at used stores since the Friday boxset. They get not a cent from me until they do these movies justice! MBV just fuels the already blazing fire.
