Captain Cronos Vampire Hunter: Love or hate it?

Never saw this movie but it's going to screen during the week of Halloween. Is it worth to go see it?

Thumbs up

Definitely see it. Excellent movie, a million times better than the dull "Vampire Lovers". It has a darker and nastier feel to it than other Hammers of the time, and it's obvious why it's considered cult. Fine cast. Too bad writer Brian Clemens never directed again.

I really enjoy it. It was one of the 1st Hammer movies I saw.
There's a question I've been wanting to make for a long time: who owns the rights to this film?

There are 2 movies that I really want on dvd: this one and "Hound of the Baskervilles" (to be released next year on dvd by MGM).

Paramount owns the rights to Captain Kronos. I've still got their old VHS tape. I know the film came out on Laserdisc in Japan, but I heard the quality wasn't that good.

Where is this film being screened? I would love to see it on the big screen. This is one of my favorite Hammer films (especially during the later Hammer years)

Unfortunately, it's being screened in Montreal, Canada. So unless you live around that region I don't know where else it's going to show...

I second that reason. Actually, I can never decide who's THE Hammer babe of them all; Munro or Leon.

For me it's Munro... in my book, she is smoldering 70s sex personified. Incredibly sultry and seductive... mmmmmmm... sorry, I think I'll stop now.
