Scary movies
So what are some good, scary date movies? I have a lady friend coming over on Sunday night and promised her I would find something good to watch. I know there was a recent movie I saw that creeped me out a little, which says a lot for horror nuts like us. I can't remember the flick I'm thinking of.
So give me some suggestions. Tell me some flicks you have seen - new or old - but ones that still manage to scare/creep you out in recent years. I don't want to go for shock scares, meaning tons of gore, reanimated zombies, etc. |

How much does she like horror? That would sort of alter what you would go with. Either way, you don't want to put on something that could create an awkward situation (aka a very violent rape or any movie with Hostel nudity levels) or make her think you are a crazed nut too early.
Ryan's listed some good ones, with Quote:

Per chat on this subject last weekend, we thought that these movies would be bad on most first dates..
L'Enfer The Hills Have Eyes (Either Version) Hostel I Spit on Your Grave Last House on the Left Edited to add I Spit on Your Grave. Last edited by onebyone; 04-06-2006 at 01:19 AM. |

The Thing (good for any occasion!
)The Descent is my GF's favorite horror movie and she still has to hold on to me after repeat viewings. Way back when, I took a date to see Stir Of Echoes in the theater and that date worked out great.

In all seriousness, I took my girlfriend to see What Lies Beneath. Creeped her out for months.

i watched I Spit On Your Grave with my girlfriend, and two years later we broke up. coincidence?
i second (or third, or fourth, whatever it is now) The Changeling. I've recommended that to a few couples when i worked at hollywood video, and they always came back satisfied. Session 9 is pretty creepy, too. |
