I need Edison Frankenstein reference please!

Hey,
if someone who has this doesn't mind making a few cool grabs of shots of the creature, i'd really appreciate it. I'm working on a series (see lon chaney's the 'phantom' below..), and am having trouble finding the disc. If someone who has it could help me, I'd really appreciate it.
thanks in advance,
-mike

Do a search? If I remember correctly, one of our previous threads on this film has a pic of the monster.

I have Dettlaff's disc, but not here at the moment - yet I do recall that it was torrented a short while ago on some tracker. Perhaps even officially, considering that it is definitely in public domain and that Dettlaff is dead.

Incidentally, there are talks of releasing it again, with extras and starting from the scratch with Dettlaff's print - since for the first release, Dettlaff apparently did a horrible transfer and did not recreate title cards properly (not to mention adding the imbecilic logos in all corners...)

I actually have a copy of the Detlaff print, and while the watermarks are pretty lame, it's still cool to watch from time to time. Scrybe, you want those caps in email, or what?

Just seeing those pictures reminds me of what an amazing achievement that film is. Wow.

I think he means a picture like this:

That is the best quality version of the pic I could find.

Wow. I have never seen this one and am very much interested in it now. I love that his arms look like rotting corpse arms; much scarier than most versions of The Creature (well, except for that last pic ).

I grabbed a copy of that DVD as soon as it came out, since I was anxious to see the film for years!

I bought my copy from Creepy Classics (creepyclassics.com).

The dvd also includes Nosferatu. Sadly, no extras are included. Hopefully it'll get deluxe treatment one of these days.

I was underwhelmed, but there was a lot of anticipation for me, so that might have been part of it. Still, it is a piece of horror cinema history!
