Box Office Flashback: 2004
I'd say horror did quite well two years ago:

There was a lot of good, fun horror that year... and then there was Exorcist: The Beginning, Godsend, and Alien Vs. Predator.
I missed a lot of the good ones in the theater that year. I regret that. I only saw.... Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind The Grudge *Great fun with a crowd Kill Bill Vol. 2 Saw Spider-Man 2 Last edited by onebyone; 05-07-2006 at 06:02 AM. |

Alien Vs. Predator
Saw Resident Evil: Apocalypse Secret Window Exorcist: The Beginning Open Water Shaun Of The Dead Honorable Mention: Spider-Man 2 Van Helsing The Village Kill Bill Vol. 2 The Stepford Wives Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind Oh wow, what an awful year for horror. And I can't even believe I paid to see The Stepford Wives (I was tricked into it!) and The Village! For me, none of the horror films were any good AT ALL. Eternal Sunshine and Kill Bill vol. 2 saved the year. Barely.

Alien Vs. Predator
Dawn Of The Dead Saw Resident Evil: Apocalypse Seed Of Chucky The Day After Tomorrow The Manchurian Canditate (dragged by GF and her mom) Anatomy 2 made $623? Hope it only had one screen one time. Surprised to see Decoys, Evil Remains and Riding The Bullet had theater runs at all. Had all 3 pegged as straight to video. Riding The Bullet was cool, kinda wish I would've seen it but doubt it played around here at all. Bummed I missed Shaun, that's about it. |

Dawn of the Dead and Spider Man 2 for me. I don't go to the movies as much anymore.
