I grew up with Terror Train. Hands down on this one. The idea of a killer stealing costumes and 'pretending' to be that person was certainly original in my opinion. While yes, it does have Jamie Lee Curtis, I honestly do not see why people cite this as a rip off of Halloween, because there is much more originality and uniqueness in terms of plot in Terror Train, than lets say in other similar period slasher films of the early 1980's. He Knows You're Alone is much more of a clone to Halloween than Terror Train, at least in my opinion anyway.

PROM NIGHT
I'm sure it's nostalgia since I saw PROM NIGHT multiple times growing up and only just saw TERROR TRAIN for the first time last year. Had I been younger I would have loved the costume-changing killer plot twist, but as an adult I only saw it as a plot hole. Bottom line, those nasty kids from PROM NIGHT still give me the chills and I love watching them get taken down. |
