T&A and nudity in horror

Okay.. we all know that horror and nudity/sex scenes go hand in hand with horror, well to a point, cheap horror at least, heh. Looking to hear from everyone what are some of their favorite horror flicks with some good T&A or related scenes.

Mine have to be:

Slumber Party Massacre - the shower scene stands out in particular

Friday the 13th part 3 - Not really a nude scene, but the part where to 2 kids are about ready to "do it" on the hammock and the guy says "so.. how do we do it?" and she replies "well... first we take our clothes off and then you get on top of me, or I could get on top of you" haha.. My gf and I laughed our butts off when we heard that.

T&A in horror films is always nice, but I think porno scenes work even better in horror films. That's why I love the Euro stuff of the 70's and early 80's. The American stuff is a wee bit too watered down and not nearly as daring. They're still good though.

My all time favorite is Sybill Danning in The Howling II where she, Marsha Hunt and the other guy (can't remember his name) sprout fur, fangs, and claws and then get it on. It just comes across as so damned funny, though it probably wasn't intended to be. The whole S&M scene in the castle is pretty hysterical too. Poor Christopher Lee, why he ever stooped so low is a mystery to me. But, I guess we all have to do what we can to pay the rent, right?

Ralph Mouth, I have to say that the sex scenes in European horror film is not Porno! I mean, porno is when you actually see the full penetration.

Let's call these scenes simply "erotic scenes". To call this stuff porno sounds way to conservative to these ears.

You are right though. Argento has always used eroticism in every aspect of his scenes. Even in the murder scenes, the knife stabbing looks more like a phalic penetration. Argento himself used the word "fuck" when he described the first murder scene in SUSPIRIA in San Jose Film Festival. Jean Rollin too uses a lot of erotic elements in his films. And let's not talk about Franco...

I actually like Franco...and the Euro horror films I was referring to didn't include Argento.

They show explicit penetration and can be labelled porno, as well as horror films in my opinion. Joe D'Amato etc?

Lets not forget that scene in Alan Parker's Angel Heart. The one that caused the MPAA to mess their pants... and I might add, ended up on the US DVD Artisan released...

And let's not forget Soavi's Dellamore Dellamorte. Rupert Everett did a damn convincing job of playing a hetrosexual.

I've also heard what you mentioned about Pat's death in Suspiria. I don't really mind this because it's subtle and I also admire the lack of nudity in most of his films. I don't think you need nudity for horror films. That only suggests that horror really is a useless genre and it needs nudity to attract an audience.

Ah the ending credits in Howling II. The same one second shot of Sybill ripping off her clothes, shown every five seconds or so.

I think my next favorite scene is from Night of the Demons 3. When asked if she can suck a golf ball though ten feet of garden hose, Angela proceeds to demonstrate her ability to remove bullets from a gun. Definitely very sexual!!!

I suggest you try and locate some Joe D'Amato films on video - sadly, this sort of stuff isn't available on DVD...at the moment, or is cut out from current/planned DVD releases. Videoscreams.com look to have some good stuff, but I've not used them yet and so do shockingimages.com, who I have used and are very reliable.

"Caligula...The Untold Story", whilst not strictly horror, contains lots of extremely gory torture plus some h/c inserts in the Dutch video release, great film. "Porno Holocaust" and "The Erotic Nights of the Living Dead" are another two films by him worth seeking - I only have a s/c version of the latter film but a h/c one exists. "Emanuelle in America" is his best and most outrageous film - be sure to get a Venezuelan version.

Then there's things like "Malabimba, The Malicious Whore" and Renato Polselli's dark sex film "Revelations of a Psychiatrist". The list goes on...

I have never seen full penetration in any movie except for real porn. What movies are you talking about and are they availiable to buy? I have a hard time finding out about certain releases and it really buggs me sometimes. I would like to see these movies.

T&A and sex in horror is one of the only reasons I think there is a pathetic little backlash against the current crop of horror cinema... basically because its lacking here.

T&A appeals to the lowest common denominator. Show some tits in an especially bad film and you are going to have a following no matter what (ie Sorority House Massacre). The more gratuitus, the bigger the following. Basically, I think that goofy little nerd types who are too embarassed to rent sleeze, are the ones truely into this kind of stuff. But, they are of course only fooling themselves. Its very well known that these films have no merit outside their pre-teen mentality-tit-show.

I hate films that revel in this ideal. Its a very fake ideal at that. How often do you see two people screwing in a horror pic then jump out of bed for whatever reason (bathroom bream, beer, food) only to get killed on their way... and the woman is completely naked, but the guy is wearing boxers? We all know that the truth of the mater is that men are the first to get naked, and that women take a bit more time to entice to the notion. You wanna see realistic gore, why not see realistic sex?

I think the biggest risk taker is American Psycho... full of male nudity along side its female counterparts. And for that mater, Hollow Man was pretty risky too.

T&A do not a good horror film make. I can definatly live without it. Give me Scream, I Know and Urban Legend over tit-fests any day.
