Thumbs up Terror (1978)

Once seen, totally forgotten about it. Just done watching this fine slasher with a supernatural twist directed by Norman J. Warren. The scene that finally triggered my memory was
Spoiler:
the levitating car!

Such an awesome sequence.

Trying to remember which company released this on tape back in the days. I'm thinking Warner but I'm not sure. Anyone got a clue?

seems like it was one of those big-boxed cheap releases that kept getting re-released with different covers etc.

Is there a new DVD coming out? I watched the Rhino disc. It's fullscreen but the transfer is ok.

Hmm...I have this on the Horrible Horrors collection. I was gonna get the Minotaur disc as well. I haven't watched it, but if I have it on two discs, I should check it out sooner rather than later.

Love this movie! It seemed to always be playing at drive-ins as second or third billed to just about every horror movie when I was a kid. I have the horrible horrors set, but will be picking the new version up as well.

Looks like The Terror will indeed be a widescreen presentation...Land Of The Minotaur is a pretty cool (though tame) flick also. This is a must have.

I picked up this disc a few days ago.
Land of The Minotaur is a film I've wanted to see for years. The print is OK, with some washed out color and some minor print damage. it is widescreen and features a great Brian Eno score.

the real reason to buy this disc is TERROR of course. The print is crisp and colorful! The best these eyes have ever seen it look! there is some hiss on the audio track near the end, but the film looks really good, so you probably wont care.

all this for under $10 bucks, you cant go wrong!

Both films are presented 16x9 anamorphic enhanced...even though that isn't listed on the package anywhere. Not the greatest transfers or sound elements used, but still surprisingly good. No extra features. And like the other Crypt of Terror releases, it's a flipper disc and comes with an outer slipcover.

The Cemetery of Terror & Grave Robbers disc is also worth checking out. Two underated 80's Slashers, from Mexico of all places.

Checked out Terror today for the first time and really enjoyed it. Why had I barley heard of this? This one is way underrated. It may not flow as well as it could of but there were lots of creepy scenes and imagery that in many ways kept me on edge. Some of the scenes must of also been influenced by Suspiria. The transfer on the Crypt of Terror DVD was more then I could of hopped for.
