anyone think New Line will ever buy all the Friday the 13th footage from Paramount?Part 1-8?wonder how much theyed sell it for?

That would be sweet! As their DVDs are awesome, and so much better than Paramount's half assed attempts.

The Friday films are such a cash-cow for Paramount that I'm not sure they'd even sell the rights to New Line. Everyone knows New Line products are much better than most anything Paramount releases. Before the Friday box set, we were getting completely featureless DVDs with "special features" like the movie itself and the fact that the movie had sound and subtitles! The very first Friday the 13th/Jason releated DVD by New Line was Jason Goes to Hell with a commentary track, tv version alternate scenes, a theatrical trailer and TWO versions of the film, one being the Unrated Director's Cut. With such a big comparison, who could argue that Paramount releases anything better than New Line.
