Before casting my vote, I have a question. Are we allowed to discuss horror films?
Did you see the new 2006 dvd release of Trilogy of Terror? Karen Black is a supreme bitch on the extras! She totally bashes the horror genre claiming that all of her genre films are in fact SCIENCE FICTION and that they have all been mislabeled! What the fuck is that all about!?!

Roberta Findlay...now there is a bitch who truly trashes horror films in DVD extras! ![]() I pick Trilogy of Terror though, for the superb acting skills in the three stories.

Hmm, I'll have to pull the DVD out and watch that part again.

Does anyone think of House of 1,000 Corpses as science fiction? I don't recall Captain Spaulding taking anyone out with the Vulcan Nerve Pinch nor do I remember Otis using a light saber as his preferred weapon of choice.

Initially I was going to vote for Burnt Offerings simply because I only enjoy the third tale in Trilogy of Terror, but I guess the fact that she plays so many different roles in one movie was the deciding factor.

Voted for House of 1,000 Corpses. Another movie that gets my vote, even though it is not horror, Easy Rider.

I voted other for her performance in The Pyx. Great film... low key and quite haunting. Black is at her best. Hell, she even sings the theme song, which I actually think isn't half bad. It adds to the film's somber mood, really.

My vote goes for Trilogy, simply becuase she owns the movie...three great performances in one. I got to meet Ms. Black last year and she was very nice. She signed my Family Plot poster (another great role).

If we're just talking horror (or ''science fiction" as Mrs.Black may call it) I would go with TRILOGY simply due to her range in it.As a film I think BURNT OFFERINGS is more consistant. In non horror work she was very good in FIVE EASY PIECES.

I voted for Burnt Offerings by mistake. I wasn't paying attention and was voting based on which movie is my favorite, but yes, as far as performances, I'd go with Trilogy of Terror. It's too bad Hollywood is so pathetically shallow, not only in its movie-making, but also in its casting of A-listers who are only capable of playing the same role over and over again while far more capable actors are brushed off because they've gotten older.

Burnt Offerings. I liked her performance in Trilogy of Terror, but my favorite by far was Burnt Offerings. She is a good actress, but oh sooooo very strange. It really surprises me to hear that she has bad mouthed some of the films that she has been in because they are horror films. If your are truly in the business to act, it really shouldn't matter what type of film you are starring in. I can't imagine filing House of 1000 Corpses, or Burnt Offerings, Trilogy of Terror, etc..under Science Fiction. This reminds me of Mike Nichols when he directed "Wolf " in 1994. Sure, it may have had some big named stars like Nicholson and Pffeifer, but despite what Nichols claimed in numerous interviews or what he may have thought, it really iis a horror film.
