28 Days Later.

The second half of the film was just so slow and unsatisfying that it ruined it for me. I was surprised so many were willing to overlook how poorly paced this was.

Friday the 13th.

And I disagree with 28 Days Later being poorly paced. I've always thought it maintained a pretty good pace throughout. Most complaints I've seen have been about the 3rd act and the ending, and although I can see why people would feel disappointed, I never had a problem with the film at all. One of my favorite horror films of recent years.

Maybe I have to watch it again. Last time I saw it I thought it wasn't half as good as I remember it. Sorry folks.

Utter and unforgivable blasphemy.

Scream.

I forgot about Silence of the Lambs. Very good choice as well.

Yeah, this round is between Scream and Carrie it seems, but I'll throw in a vote for Saw II, I found it unwatchable.

Is Land of the Dead considered overrated? If it is, my vote goes for that. I remember everyone on the boards seemed to think it was the greatest thing since sliced bread, completely overlooking the horrid overuse of CGI and the mediocre story.

I agree that Saw II is unwatchable but it amazes me that it would even be considered "overrated". My god, are there people who think it's that good?

I swear I've read some people suggesting it was good on this board. Could be wrong. Anyone who thinks it's watchable from start to finish causes it to be overrated, imo
