I've been looking forward to Gravedancers for years, especially since The Convent is one of my favorites. Got screwed out of seeing this and The Abandoned during the Horrorfest because of work, so I'm definitely picking it up on release day.

I watched Dark Ride this morning and I thought it was awful, sorry to say. Amateur-hour at its worst. I'm not the biggest fan of Tobe Hooper or Funhouse, but comparing these two movies it becomes all-too apparent that a bad film made by a pro is still lightyears ahead of a bad film made by an amateur. Hell the director and cinematographer couldn't even keep people in frame in some of the scenes! Ugh.

The actors are also uniformly lame and playing characters even more annoying than in Hostel (and I'm not even sure this was intentional in this movie) and the film is dead boring. The scariest thing about it is that it got made in the first place. Total waste of money and time.

I hated Dark Ride too. There were no scares and I spent the whole flick looking at the clock. And talk about a cast of unlikeable characters. After an hour of being locked in with those people Ghandi would want to kill them all with a machete.

I bought all 7 of the After Dark Horrorfest releases at the Best Buy sale. I hope the rest are better than this.
