Sorry again for the double post, I didnt know how to do a post, just a try, well time to vote, I love every Friday The 13th except Part 9. Dont think that part 5 is a good film but I just love the t&a....well that's it, I vote for the original!

I voted Friday I, mainly becase I feel it had a taste of 2 classics Psycho (the music, the deranged mother) & Halloween (psychopathic killer) along with its own style & originality...in the woods, horny teenagers, miles from anywhere!.....

Friday The 13th is the best. The one that started it all. WOW! This movie started this whole mess? Man, what a long strange trip this has been.

It really is a toss up for me between the first four films. I think Jason is a much scarier killer than Ms. Palmer, but the first film <b>did</b> start it all, so it does have the benefit of being somewhat original. The ending of the first is by far the best of the series as well.

But with that, the beginning of the second film is leaps and bounds better than all the others, and is definitely one of the best in all horror films. The second film also effectively setup the whole campfire legend idea so very well too.

The third film keeps things fresh with the 3D aspect, and I think it would get a lot more respect if people could see it in the third dimension in theatres again. The wider aspect ratio also adds to the film, and makes it more suspenseful and gives it higher production values. It also introduces the precious mask, and the actors are often so bad that they raise the enjoyment level of the film.

The Final Chapter is, as stated a hundred times before, the perfect party movie. It perfectly blends 80's camp, comedy and good ol' fashioned gore. Little Corey Feldmen is always fun to watch and provides the viewer with a good alternative to all those horny teens.

I really enjoy rambling on about the Friday films

But basically it is a toss up between the first four films, and since I always give Part 4 respect, I thought Part 2 deserves a little credit for being the darkest in the series!

I like Part 2 the best...from the eiree start in the rain, right back to those unforgiving woods! Jason is mean and scary in this one...i like the way you can just make out one eye with that sheet over his head too....its the first movie i saw in the franchise and still remains my favorite!

The first one, because Jason's mom is totally creepy. I sometimes wish we'd seen her do some of the kills, but then the surprise-ending wouldn't be a surprise of course. I also like Jason's dirty sheet in part 2, but aren't they overdoing it with that hockey mask ?. I know it's his trademark and everything, and I'm sure they wouldn't dare change it (wimps !), but a little variety would be welcome. What is that mask

to him anyway ?. Viagra

I guess when fans become accustomed to a certain look it is impossible to change it. If jason were to start wearing an umpire's mask it wouldn't be nearly as scary, and more importantly he just wont be the same character. The sack in Part 2 was right out of The Town That Dreaded Sundown, so Jason needed to get something for his own! I think the mask is classic, and I hope they don't alter it too much for Uber Jason in Jason X.

As much as i love the original.Part 2 and the country bumpkin sackhead debut of Jason is by far my favorite.
