Outstanding news. Strange that Synapse would buy the rights for Countess Dracula and not The Vampire Lovers seeing as they are set to release Twins of Evil soon. I'm not complaining though, the more Hammer on Blu-ray the better.

From what I've read, while MGM handled some distribution, it was licensed from Rank which also has Vampire Circus, Twins of Evil and Hands of the Ripper. So it would seem to make perfect sense and would cast doubt on Vampire Lovers getting the Synapse treatment.

The Australian release maybe all we have to hope for in the meantime.

I see. I would have loved to see Synapse release the Karnstein Trilogy on Blu-ray.

I received shipping notification for Frat House Massacre. Really excited for this one, it will hopefully be a new guilty pleasure favorite like Camp Slaughter.

so does this mean the commentary on the previous synapse maniac cop dvd won't be included? that would be a disappointment.

I really hope the commentary is included. It's already gonna be annoying having to pick up both the Synapse & Arrow Blu-rays to get all the extras. If I have to keep the Synapse DVD as well then Maniac Cop (which I only think is OK) will be the title I have the most copies of on my shelves.

I don't think it's been posted elsewhere, but here are the Arrow bonus features for comparison:

cant wait for intruder i still got the oop though shalt anchor bay dvd man synapse has had that title longer than it took nightmare to come out from code red

I'd bet it will be on there, and it was just overlooked in the news story.

I think it is a combo pack anyway, so I'd imagine the included DVD is identical to the one we already have. So if it is not on the blu, it will still be on the DVD.
