"On the Lot" Horror Night

Anyone else check this out last night. The Shorts weren't spectacular but on the whole weren't that bad. Eli Roth was the guest judge and did alright, he had quite a few interesting things to saw. He may of pointed a few of his critiques his own way though. Especially his "it wasn't funny or scary" which is exactly what I thought of Cabin Fever and "shock for the sake of shock" which some may argue that his hostel films may suffered from. Saying that it was still pretty entertaining.

Wes Craven was the guest Judge on a non horror night last week.

You can catch the 6 shorts at the on the lot web site.

I saw some of them. Nothing spectacular and a few were obviously made by people who have no interest in horror. I actually thought Roth was better than I expected him to be. At least he didn't completely suck up like Fisher and Marshall did all night.

I thought Roth did poorly on the show. Nothing truly insightful, and I basically disagreed with a lot of what he thought.

I hated Kenny's short, yet Roth seem to label as AMAZING. Poor judgement.

I recorded it,saw a few of the shorts. The ones I saw ranged from solid,to thin to heavy handed.Still,it's tough to put together a truly solid short on a tight schedule, especially if it's in a genre that you don't care for.Solid efforts at least.
Roth always seems a bit overly caffeinated to me,and he looked like he was dressed to go on BLIND DATE or something.
