Yeah, I threw the envelope out, but I wanna say it came from Washington or Oregon.

I love "so bad it's good" horror, but I found DON"T GO IN THE WOODS to be one of the worst films I've sat through in recent memory. It is easily the most inept film I've seen and a chore to sit through. On the other hand, I love HOWLING 2.

Yeah, it's not going to win any awards for sure, or be at the top of your all time campy slashers. Some friends of mine and I sat through it recently for the first time and found it pretty entertaining. The killer is absurd/kinda lame, but I just felt like everything else around it was fun.

The plot to GHOSTKEEPER sounds a lot like the plot for Scream (1981). Only the setting is different. I'll order a copy as soon as it becomes available. The fact that there's an official Amazon listing makes me feel better. I'm not too crazy about ordering direct from the manufacturer, aka Bill from Code Red.

Ghostkeeper is currently available. It is being sold direct through Code Red. I ordered a copy yesterday while the boards were down.
It was announced on Twitter. |

Including shipping, it was $21. But prices fluctuated a bit during the overstock sale, so it could be different now. You'll have to e-mail him and ask.
I'm guessing that The Exterminator on Amazon marketplace is Code Red, and the $25 price there is to cover the commission Amazon takes. |

Yup, $21 - done! I'm not fooling around with this one. I gotten enough CodeRed titles for dirt cheap over the years that I don't mind paying a little extra this time around.

Same. I was hoping for something in the $15 range, but $21 isn't too bad after factoring in shipping. Plus, all the money is going right into Code Red's hands.
Worth mentioning though, I remember reading somewhere that the frame rate is screwed up on the bonus featurette with the director. That is how the director sent it to Code Red. I guess people were badgering him about it, so he decided to just release it as is. The movie itself should be fine though. Doesn't really bother me, but I imagine it could become a big issue ala Madman once the reviewers get a hold of it. Never hurts to be prepared for something like that going in. Yeah, I don't care about that stuff regarding the framing in the featurette.
I did ask Bill if they were able to retain that intro where the dood is running around outside the hotel in the woods. Looks more like Fall and he gets impaled by a stick spear. I have a UK DVD that has that scene, but my New World VHS does not have it.

Looks like I'm going to have to get some cash soon and snatch Ghostkeeper up.
I've never seen it but it looks like fun. |
