It is an official release, just a DVD-R with crappy artwork.

It isn't, the movie is release on MOD DVD-R by the Sebastian's. At least the film look better than the cover does...

How's the Gator Bait 2 transfer? Does it look like a VHS rip?

Doesn't look too bad, could have been better but it isn't an old VHS (probably the original tape master). Some random captures (done with Power DVD) to judge by yourself.

Not possible. Gator Bait was made in the early 70's. F13th V came out more than a decade later.

Those caps are from Gator Bait II, which was made in 1988.

It's not the same actress though. The F13 girl was Juliette Cummins from Slumber Party Massacre II, Deadly Dreams, and Psycho III.

I definitely see the resemblance though.

I don't think that they look all that alike. The hair maybe, but I suppose that I've seen ANB, SPM2, DD and P3 enough to familiarize.

Personally, I think that the face is reminiscent of Lisa from A Nightmare on Elm Street 2.

I bet you are correct that its a tape master. Doesn't look like its worth upgrading from the VHS though. Thanks for sharing.
