VFB: BLu sold 375 copies, DVD sold 48 copies.
JBD: bLU sold 732, DVD sold 96.
Wow, those numbers are very surprising (even as a Blu-ray fan). Kinda sorry to see such low numbers of DVDs in general as he probably ordered 500 of each. However it is re-affirming of what people have been saying all along, "I'm waiting for the Blu-ray."

I'm down for more Andy Milligan.

Is it different from their normal FB group? I've liked that page since yesterday.

Some great news on Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker (AKA Night Warning)!!!: Code Red has posted on Facebook that the long-awaited DVD release will be available sometime in 2014! They also posted screenshots of the new transfer!

^ So far there's only two comments, both asking for Blu-ray editions.

Looks great though, and it sounds like they've done a number of transfers without satisfactory results, I'm guessing due to inadequate materials. With these reportedly coming from the negatives that's great news!

^ He already said there is no chance of him doing a blu-ray. Apparently another DVD company who wasn't named (sounds like it might be Synapse though) disputed the rights, saying it was with MGM or owned by a bank or something. Code Red spent money on lawyers and researching the rights, but the claim never panned out. Since he already lost that money on the movie already, he can't justify the higher costs of pressing a blu-ray. Which is a shame, the screencaps he posted look gorgeous.

Here are screencaps of the transfer circa 2008:
Code Red Blog

Not sure what exactly will be on the disc, but completed extras include:
- Audio commentary with writer/producer Stephen Breimer and co-writer Alan Jay Glueckman (moderated by Mondo Digital's Nathaniel Thompson)
- Audio commentary with actor Jimmy McNichol
- On camera interview with writer/producer Stephen Breimer
- On camera interview with Jimmy McNichol
- On camera interview with the late Susan Tyrrell

Wow, that is great news but I won't believe it until I have the DVD in my hands.

A bluray of Butcher would be awesome. I really enjoyed that film. Glad it's coming out nonetheless.

Finally. I can't wait for BBNM!

ADDED:

Just saw the pictures on the Code Red DVD page. Wow. I'm guessing that a Blu-Ray* announcement will come soon just because of how perfect the quality looks. Code Red has come a long way. Remember in 2008 when Sole Survivor, Dead Pit and The Unseen were released? So happy to have picked those up, but the transfers were certainly lacking. Not so with BBNM. I think that Bill is going to be very respectful with this one considering the passing of Tyrell and the 6.5 years it has taken for this to arrive. One of my favorite slasher films. Almost want to cry. Ty Bill!

*not saying that it will be, so don't be mad at me if it's only DVD. lol, maybe Blu-Ray rights are with somebody else?

I won't buy the Butcher Baker DVD. A Blu will definitely come out sooner or later. If Code Red won't release it, somebody else will. The picture quality seems to be good enough for a Blu. The numbers Bill mentioned clearly show that most people want a Blu Ray and not a DVD.
