So many crap movies that even I wouldn't touch with a stick.
He always complains about loosing money. Then why even spend money on releasing shit like this, when he could spend it on GOOD movies instead?

Code Red would be perfect for releasing old italian classics like Ruggero Deodato's sci-fi action film Atlantic Interceptor etc., that STILL hasn't got a proper release. Movies that has a cult following. Not über obscure crap, that 20 persons, on the entire planet, MAYBE blind buys.

I honestly don't have any interest in any of those movies. I might blind buy Death Machines if, at some point after researching the film I see anything that piques my interest, but I won't hold my breath. I haven't even watched my copies of Virginity or Vengeance yet. Pass.

I just looked on their Big Cartel site and there a lot of titles that I want to pick up (Retribution, Ghost Keeper, Trick or Treats, Night of the Demon) but honestly I haven't bought a standard DVD in some time. Do you guys think there is any chance of these going to blu ray?

Likely not if they are with Code Red. Best to pick up the DVDs if you want them.

Night of the Demon can't be on Blu as all that exist is a tape master, and I could be wrong, but BluRay rights to Trick or Treats was offered to Scream, and they turned it down, so I would buy them on DVD, instead of paying crazy prices on fleabays.

That forum is dead (and still annoyingly glitchy). The 3 people left who still post there don't even post that much anymore.

Let's not get carried away here.

He's running this label and putting out the titles he wants to put out. Essentially a guy selling out of his garage. He should make no apology for what he decides to distribute.

That's not to say there's isn't a legitimate complaint about how long a release takes or quality of his releases, but you might as well complain to Shout or Criterion about why a personal favorite of yours isn't being released. (And it's the rights owners you should be complaining to anyways.)

He can release whatever he want. But he should just stop fucking complaining when the shit don't sell. It shouldn't be a surprise to him at this point, when he release stuff like that.

He's expecting the 3rd title to sell fast so he might press more than 1,000? Quick - what's Code Red's best-selling release so far??

That would have to be "Nightmare". But if he shot that one down I guess it would have to be Retribution.
