I'm really glad Savage Streets is getting a blu-ray release, it's been a favorite of mine for years. Isolated score is super cool, but is there any reason none of the features are being carried over?

Yup. I'm one of them. SO glad Shout is doing Evilspeak. I support them wholeheartedly.

Yup, I'm glad I didn't get the Evilspeak DVD.
When they use a brand new HD transfer, it's only a matter of time until a BD is released. Same thing with Bloody Birthday that only got a DVD from Severin, even though they had a superb HD transfer, and now Arrow is putting it on a BD. And now the same thing with the classic Gamera sequels that Shout only put out on DVD.
The only times I buy a DVD of a movie, is for ultra rare stuff that have no chance in hell to ever get a BD release. But these days, even obscure stuff like Satan's Blade and Death Spa gets a BD release, so I guess there actually IS a chance in hell for almost everything to pop up on the format

Yeah! Really glad Mary Mary Bloody Mary made it to blu-ray! That movie shouldn't be overlooked, it's a modern pseudo-vampire movie kind of like a more erotic Martin with a female lead. It's poor quality streaming on YouTube, fwiw.

It looks like Code Red is going more full force into blu-ray with 5 new title confirmations.

Will probably grab all three of those

I wish we could get some pre-order dates, would make it easier to plan the purchases.

I'm probably skipping Mary Mary Bloody Mary. If the price is low enough, I might give it a try. But I imagine it'll be $20+.

I'm on the fence with Savage Streets and Nail Gun Massacre, since the extras aren't being carried over for SS and I can't imagine them getting the NGM extras from Synapse. From what I gather, Code Red and Synapse don't really get along. I would have to hang onto my DVDs, and I'm already way too short on shelf space as it is.

100% in for The Redeemer and Neon Maniacs though.

Thats what Im doing as well, when the BD lacks the extras on the DVD.
I mostly upgrade for the movie itself anyways.

I don't think my DVD OCD would allow that. I like to keep my movies in their original cases.
