We must have the same disorder because I'm the same way. They have to be in their original cases No exceptions.

Isn't OCD part of being a collector?

Yeah I do the same. I have a 4-disc Dawn of the Dead blu ray. First disc is the blu ray itself and the remaining 3 are from the Ultimate Edition DVD.

Along with Screams of a Winter Night, Mary, Mary, Bloody Mary was the one I was most hoping would hit Blu. Can't wait to upgrade my VHS.

WHITE STAR (1983) appears to be one of the Corman titles. I'm glad they got that out of the way - now let's get to the good stuff

I can make a few exceptions. When BB had upgrade and save I traded in disc 1 of From Hell and Speices, then just took the disc 2 from each and put em a double BD case for my own "Ultimate Edition BD sets". Those haven't set the OCD off, although not having the cases around helps (technically I do have the cases, I put all discs and covers of shit to be sold or traded in old rental cases I hate, except when trading on sites like this, where I kinda like the other people).

The one that sometimes get me is Silent Hill. I just threw the dvd in with the BD since the dvd has a couple little features. But then I have to see the empty dvd case now and then. All I'd have to do is put that cover in the recycling bin, but I can't bring myself to throw it out due to the fucking OCD.

What is the disorder where one buys lots and lots of "I must have that's, no not THAT version of it, THAT one" and never watches them? I mean never still in the shrink wrap never?

• Interview with Whitey Thomas

• An Evening at the Alamo Drafthouse with Rocky Patterson and Michelle Meyer

+ added bonus. previous distributor said in their blog....

When doing the new transfer and seeing the FULL aperture in the telecine, there were a lot of microphones, wires, light reflections and, even at the end, the legs of the killer flying up from a dirt pile, that were never meant to be seen and were printed on the film, but meant to be masked out in theatres. During one bedroom scene, the microphone was practically all the way up to the top of the bed with the actors! LOL! It would be silly to release it full frame and have microphones hanging in scenes, especially when they weren't supposed to be there.

The older master was probably slightly zoomed in to remove these mics, wires, etc. all those years ago when it was first created. And, if that's the case, perhaps ours will have a lot more side L/R info, since we didn't zoom in. I'll dig out the limited DVD and take a look as soon as I get a VHS check tape of our transfer to compare, but ours will definitely look far superior quality wise... and be framed properly.

SINCE THE OTHER LABEL SUPERVISED THE SAME 16MM ELEMENT WE USED. CODE RED WAS AT DELUXE AND FOTOKEM ON THIS TITLE! SO CODE RED IS PROUD TO PLACE A "BOOM MIKE CUT" ON THE BLU SO WE ALL CAN ENJOY THE MICS, WIRES AND ALL THE GOOD STUFF! NOW IT'S FRAMED PROPERLY AVOIDING THE BOOM MIKE AND ALSO ANOTHER VERSION AS A ADDED BONUS AS A "BOOM MIKE CUT"!
The Redeemer

Starring Jeanetta Arnette (TV's Head Of The Class), this copyright 1978 drive-in classic is finally released on Blu from the best 35mm print. (little rough, but they I did my best). DVD did make a tiny profit, so the rights owner said let move on the Blu!

Widescreen 1.66:1 Color

Awesome, I love that there's a bundle deal. I was going to skip Mary Mary Bloody Mary, but now I'm in for all 5.
