18" Alien from NECA

The Greatest Toy Ever? I Think So! NECA Brings Us 18" ALIEN!!

Oh my freaking God!! We just received this announcement for what will be probably my favorite action figure of all time. In 1979, audiences were terrified by Ridley Scott's genre-redefining science fiction masterpiece: Alien. In 2008, fans finally get what they've been waiting for: an Alien 18" Action Figure from NECA! Captured in painstaking detail, the Alien hits shelves this spring. Read on for your first look at this mouth-watering figure and check this spot for more news as it comes in.
I think it needs to hit the weight gainer and some gym time.

Yep, the 1979 Kenner Alien that was based on the Japanese Tsukuda kit. Have this bad boy myself - an imposing figure.

I had the 1979 Alien toy as a kid, creep out my mom and I loved it! That toy is long gone. This new one is super bad ass!

I love how they kept the "skull" for this figure. Why didn't the sequels keep that? I always thought it gave the alien a much scarier appearance.

At any rate, I must buy this when it comes out!!

Freak'n sweet. I still got some of my Aliens figures...raptor alien, snake alien, and matis alien.. but they need a new friend to hang out on top of my tv with and this NECA figure might be it. I'll be taking one of these home when they come out.

None of the sequels kept HR Giger's original design, which is why they don't look nearly as cool.
