I wonder what running time it is. Probably just copied the Japanese transfer since these are .. well... ya know... boots.

We're getting closer though...

Ordered all 3 of the new sets last weekend and they all showed up today. :D Death Laid an Egg has only an English audio track and a run time of 1:26:38. Here are some caps:

Not the greatest looking but for less than 6 bucks and with 3 other movies, I'm happy. Curious to see some caps from the Japanese DVD and the run time, I think a bootleg I have is sourced from it but I can't seem to find it... :/

The Japanese disc is 86:42 min NTSC and the Italian is 85 PAL ( http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparison...d=6165#overall ) which doesn't really look right, taking PAL speed up into consideration.
Anyway, this might be a port of the Japanese disc. But it could also be standards conversion of the Italian disc judging by the haziness and ugly motion blurring?

There was an attempt to get this movie out on DVD a few years ago.
Blue Underground wanted to do this one, they did another movie from the same director (Django Kill a.k.a. If You Live Shoot). Whoever owns this movie wanted too much money. It ended up Blue Underground cancelled it.

Anyway, another year, another update(-ish .. thing)
Apparently there's about 25 minutes missing. In fact some of the missing stuff is in this here clip:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duvrVqIm-m8#!

Seems there's a German VHS which includes the missing footage. Or at least a large portion of it.

(thanks to the guys @ Lovelockandload)

Actually, I have the feeling this might be coming. Dunno. What about the rights after more than 45 years? Look at what's been announced already. Many of those we thought would never see a release, ever...
