Add me to the group who watched this on youtube and was overall unimpressed. It wasn't bad, but I'm glad I didn't buy it because I honestly would have watched this once and then probably never again. Glad it's shaping to be a good release for those that do like the flick, though!

Yeah, after watching Sweet Sixteen I proceed with caution with some of these titles. Thanks to those who are bringing some perspective on these releases being just plain bad movies.

I received my The Nesting blu-ray today. I would really love to watch it tonight, but I might have to opt for another Blue Underground blu-ray instead: The Prowler.

It's June 28th... the night of the Graduation Dance!

Yeah, now that I've switched to blu-ray I'm having a hard time justifying buying any blind buys in that format. I've been down that road with DVD and I don't particularly want to relive that experience. I've bought probably more than 200 DVDs over the last decade that won't get more than 1 viewing and now I'll be lucky to sell them for a buck a piece. People's experiences with The Nesting are the kind of things I want to avoid if at all possible.

I've also stopped blind buying with this latest generation. Two exceptions though:
1) Titles that I am almost entirely certain that I'll like even though I haven't seen them (once in a long while this results in disappointment, but there's always the used bookstore); &
2) Blue Underground titles- I feel a need to support the studio.

The Nesting LOOKs great. Actually, its the first Blu-ray of an '80s film shot, like so many other of that time, with that hazy, vaseline-on-the-lens look that still manages to look like high definition material. The soundtrack has some real depth for something that must've originally been a mono recording as well. Bravo to Blue Underground! (as always.)
As far as the film, I'm only half way through so the jury is still out. However, I have found it interesting so far. Very "deliberately" paced. If it builds to something worth waiting for, it could be very enjoyable. If it falls flat, on the other hand, it will just have been a waste of time.

Just watched Deep Red Blu-Ray. Blue Underground needs to be commended for the great work their doing with the majority of their blu-rays.

Zombi 2 UE DVD and Blu-Ray specs!!:

http://10kbullets.com/

"THE DEAD ARE AMONG US!

In Italy, it was considered the ‘unofficial sequel’ to DAWN OF THE DEAD. In England, it was known as ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS and banned as obscene. In America, it was called ZOMBIE and advertised with the depraved tag line "WE ARE GOING TO EAT YOU!" Tisa Farrow (THE GRIM REAPER), Ian McCulloch (CONTAMINATION), Al Cliver (CANNIBALS), and Richard Johnson (THE HAUNTING) star in this worldwide splatter sensation directed by ‘Maestro Of Gore’ Lucio Fulci (CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD, THE HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY) that remains one of the most eye-skewering, skin-ripping, gore-gushingly graphic horror hits of all time!

Blue Underground is proud to present ZOMBIE in a new 2K High Definition transfer from the original uncut and uncensored camera negative. Each flesh-eating frame has been lovingly restored to skull-rotting perfection under the supervision of Cinematographer Sergio Salvati (THE BEYOND). Now fully-loaded with hours of brand new Extras, this is the Ultimate Edition of ZOMBIE!

The Nesting Blu-ray review: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-Ne.../21234/#Review

Say what you want about the movie itself, but those scores are typical of Blu-ray.com reviews. The Blu-ray transfer looks far better than I'd have ever guessed it would.

Watched this last night. I don't love it like the review here or hate it like the one from blu-ray.com. I thought it was a decent film that was too slow and didn't have terribly good performances, but maintained a creepy feel throughout and had good death scenes. Definitely give it a rent before a blind buy.

I'm sure eBay will be flooded with the nesting very soon. Uggh what a pile of shit and complete waste of money. I don't blame nobody for quickly selling their copy.
