Dish Network drops Voom!

Buh bye Monsters HD! Damn that hurt. I had no idea. I just turned on the TV today and see that channel 9481 is GONE! I hop online to find out they've (Dish and Voom) have been duking it out in court.

The single reason for me getting Dish Network was Monsters HD. I didn't regret it for a second. Now it's gone.

This could very well kill Voom, but if they end up going elsewhere, I'll be following them to wherever. I just looked into Chiller and it just doesn't cut it.

I got my fingers crossed Voom will make a deal with Verizon fios TV since they are supposed to be adding a bunch more HD channels this year. Course that wont help most out right now since fios tv is not in a ton of areas yet...

Seriously - I would move if it meant getting Fios and Monsters HD. Stupid Dish.

Voom/Monsters HD has been available on Cablevision since last summer.

Well, I'm not willing to move THAT far. Fios is at least available all around me, just not on my particular street.

I just wish it was available in Canada, but I guess that's too much to ask.

This sucks ass big time for those who love the channel. I used to have dish tv few years ago. Every time it rained my satellite shit the bed. I ended up crawling back to my local cable provider.

I was at least able to record about 20 movies in HD before it was dropped. The one thing I really like about Dish is the 722 DVR, it allows you record programs then transfer them to an external hard drive. I have a 720 gig hard drive stuffed with movies.

BTW, here's the link to sign a petition to bring back VOOM, or at least Monster HD.

I'm with you guys on Comcast! I'm not really into satellite because I'm a big fan of OnDemand content, so I'd really like to see MonstersHD on a cable system I have available to me (Comcast, which I have, or Fios, which I could get)

I know that Cablevision has MonstersHD. I will ask around about Comcast to see if they plan on getting it or not.

I want to drop Comcast very soon, so hopefully they'll go to Verizon FIOS.
