I went with Tombs of the Blind Dead (1971), an all time personal fave of mine followed closely by Just Before Dawn, another timeless classic of the slasher sub-genre that I totally love

The Gates of Hell.
A friend of mine told me that back in the day Paragon's releases were sold by a guy in a van who would drive city to city in a van will all their hot titles in the back. He had little racks made out of bungee cables and stuff, and he'd open the rusty doors and 'The Gates of Hell' would be staring back at you for the low price of $69.95. Awesome stuff.

One of my favorite labels of the 80s...for some reason none of there titles were available at the place where I nornally rented so I did not see alot of them until I was a little older...my favorite is probably The Gates of Hell.

Some fun ones here.Voted for the underrated BLOOD ON SATAN'S CLAW.Wish MGM would issue a region 1 DVD.The British disc is quite nice (good picture, widescreen) but isn't 16/9 enhanced.

I can't believe it's a choice between Tombs of the Blind Dead, Just Before Dawn, and Fulci's embarrassing Gates of Hell (City of the Living Dead)... I have to admit I chose Gates. Because the best scenes in that film are better than the best scenes in Tombs and Dawn. And that's the first time I've ever done this. Dawn is unquestionably a better film altogether. But Fulci in his absurdly hit-and-miss at-the-same-time style... actually made the film unforgettable. And Dawn pales in comparison to The Hills Have Eyes, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Deliverance. It's the first time Lieberman as a horror director missed the boat of an original concept. Tombs is good, but Bava's Bay of Blood, and Let Sleeping Corpses Lie are superior in my opinion.

Just Before Dawn, with Gates of Hell next. Then Tombs of the Blind Dewad, Savage Weekend and Funeral Home.

Tombs of the Blind Dead gets my vote, followed by Gates of Hell. Blood on Satan's Claw would make a great MGM Midnite Movie. When will Funeral Home ever get a dvd release?
