This should make some folks happy...Bird With the Crystal Plumage announced for blu!

There you go, according to blu-ray.com:

Blue Underground has announced that they will bring the classic horror film 'The Bird With the Crystal Plumage' to Blu-ray on February 24th. Video for this influential film will be presented in 2.35:1 1080p accompanied by both 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and 7.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtracks.

Extras for this release include:
  • Audio Commentary with Journalists Alan Jones and Kim Newman
  • Out Of The Shadows – Interview with Co-Writer/Director Dario Argento
  • Painting With Darkness – Interview with Cinematographer Vittorio Storaro
  • The Music Of Murder – Interview with Composer Ennio Morricone
  • Eva's Talking – Interview with Actress Eva Renzi
  • U.S. Trailer
  • Italian Trailer
  • TV Spots
Never seen the film myself, but I might just check it out. February's shaping up to be another expensive month.

Might have to check this out, as it's an excellent film...still haven't gotten around to checking out BU's DVD release of, even though it's been sitting on my shelf for about 2 years now, so I might just sell that and revisit the film on Blu.

I don't think the date was announced, however...BU had a massive list of Blu-Ray releases announced, but only a handful had release dates.
