I picked up the Blu anyways and it blew me away. Now it is one of, if not my favourite war movie, and the Blu is stunning. I would say out of the hundreds that I own it is probably the best looking Blu I have. Malicks' stunning photography has never looked better!

I remember my dad saw this in the theater and hated it. I don't think he was expecting an existential war film. I didn't see it until years later but I think it's more my cup of tea than my father's who, like yourself at the time, was expecting a visceral experience, akin to Saving Private Ryan. I love lyrical, poetic, deliberately paced films like this, which has really endeared me to Malick over the years.

Daughter of Emanuelle. Transfer sucks, but the movie probably will too. R2 for $5 shipped. Oh, and Emanuelle's daughter appears to be named "Pussy", which sealed the deal for me.

Blu Ray of DOG SOLDIERS.Got it as a birthday gift for a friend.In fact I've given this film as a gift a couple of times.A lot of my friends had never seen it but so far they've always enjoyed it.
