That's freaky. Enjoy it. It's a good film.

Very cool. I just picked up the Australian blu-ray. I love that film.

I have that coming any day now from Amazon DE. It'll be nice to get the unrated version with a solid transfer finally!

What the hell. I see that my blu-ray from Australia is 9 minutes shorter. I don't recall any omissions while watching it. Dammit.

Help me out here. The MGM DVD says it's 82 minutes (same as my blu-ray from Shock). Amazon.de says it's 93 minutes. I thought Tales From The Crypt was rated PG, whereas Tales From The Vault was rated R. There is an unrated extended version of Tales From The Crypt?

I had heard this German import was uncut but I wasent sure about the Ozzy release. I avoided the Ozzy release as the same company had had put out the Vampire Lovers in 1080i with lossy audio and didnt want this Tales From The Crypt BD to be the same as I could find no specs for that release. The German is in 1080p with DTS HD MA 2.0 in German and English. Could try and do some digging as to the uncut status of these releases. This German media book is nice. Shame the commentary s on the DVD and not the BD though.

It says Audio Kommentar von Mike.Garris und Ivo Scheloske. I dont speak German but im sure thats what i means. Found these guys on another forum talking about the Ozzy release and its uncut status. They seem to think it is. http://thelatarniaforums.yuku.com/re...ypt-quot-1972-

Ordered. Thanks a lot you fiends. That sucker cost $45. I am excited to see an extended cut, and the Australian blu-ray is still a great looking and sounding disc, so I'll keep it. Not to mention that's the version of the film I've been watching my entire life.

Your welcome!!! I was extremely lucky with my copy of this. I bought it brand new and sealed from Ebay off a guy who obviously didnt know what he had got. He didnt mention anything about the transfer, extras or limited edition status. He just said "it comes like a book and would make an ideal christmas present". He also listed it under the German title. Thanks to that I won the auction for 14!!!! Bargain. Going to watch this tonight so I'll remark on picture/audio quality if I get chance tomorrow.

That is a great price. My copy just shipped this morning. Please let me know your thoughts about your copy. I won't have mine for 10 days or so. I'm curious about the commentary (in English with removable German subtitles hopefully). I wonder if this disc will sell out. I'm sure if Twilight Time had the rights it wouldn't last a day.
