My last purchase was the Space: 1999 30th Anniversary Edition 17-DVD Megaset, from Deep Discount on the 25% off sale for only $38.92.
Nicely packaged in a thick box, holding 8 seperate THINpaks with two discs each.

I got that for a good bargain a little over a year ago in a Steve McQueen Collection with The Getaway, Papillon, The Cincinnati Kid, Tom Horn, and Bullitt. In the end I wound up giving Never So Few and Tom Horn away as Christmas gifts to my father in law who loves cowboys and WWII movies. I think it was the best $20 I've ever spent!

Work was dead today so I went through what they had and found those two OOP titles. They were in Guelph or something, but I just got them shipped to the store near me in Hamilton. I have all the Hammer titles in my wish list, just waiting for them to get some in. I recommend you check them out if you are looking for any OOP titles. They had the 2 disc Manhunter for $22, as well as a bunch of other OOP titles for much cheaper then you would probably find them on eBay. And yeah Music World was pretty good, but in the end they just couldn't compete with HMV's deals anymore. When they closed all they sold everything for dirt cheap prices, it was awesome! |
