Class of 1984 is a much better movie by far. I love it, and it was way ahead of it's time when released. Great stuff, with a great off the wall sequel. Savage Streets is good, but 1984 wins out. I'm a sucker for Linda Blair and will watch anything with her in it, good or bad.

Definitely Class of 1984.

I like both, but it's gotta be Class of 1984.

Class of '84 here, too. Savage Streets is too uneven.

Class of 1984 hands down...although both are great urban violent B-flicks.

I wouldn't of made Savage Streets the competitor against Class of 1984 in this poll. But rather, Blackboard Jungle, The Principal, The Substitute, or 187, would've been better suitors.

Class of 84. I think all the reasons have been mentioned already. SS is great, 84 is a whole 'nother level.

Class of 1984 easily. I just saw this recently for the first time and was BLOWN AWAY. It was one of those films I knew of, and after having seen it, I kicked myself for not having seen it sooner.

Savage Streets was fun, and while both are unrealistic, I just found Savage Streets to be TOO "Oh cmon.... what alternate reality does this take place in?". Class of 1984 hits closer to home more now than ever (Columbine, uprise of violence in schools, etc).

It was a palm-sweater, to be sure.

Class Of 1984 (1982) far superior film. Unlike the other which is mostly violent snuff vigilante filth.
