Got this badboy in the post today.

[IMG][/IMG]

The transfer is near enough flawless, Having watched it in excess of 100+ times I noticed so much more than before, Never even noticed Chrissie was wearing hoop earrings before!!! The day for night shots look so much better, The definition is insane in most shots and Quints sideburns look magnificent!!!

The Audio is impressive too. Shame it's the edited version of 'The Shark Is Still Working' still a fun documentary but frustrating knowing it should have been much longer.

Those screen caps look glorious. I'm glad they didn't get rid of the film grain either. I can't wait to get my grubby paws on this!

Where the sting and the dear hunter pre-orders in the $15, or the $25 range?
looks like the amazon.ca preorder price for the standard blu release has dropped to $19.99. nice!

I also saw that earlier in the new circular. I wonder if it's much different from the 60-page book that came with the limited 30th Anniversary Edition DVD?

Edit: ah, here's a video review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67pTC7xPSMk

I just thumbed through the old 60-page book (it's photos + captions more than anything), and this is obviously all mostly new stuff in the BB exclusive.

Ah well, I just cancelled my Amazon pre-order...which was showing up in red as a "delay" for some reason, even though I pre-ordered it right away when it first appeared. This Best Buy exclusive looks great just for the packaging alone...

I wish they still had that $5 off tradeup deal going this week, damnit!

That digibook looks amazing. Made me take a 2nd look at the couple I have (Exorcist, The Town, Deliverance) and now I'm kind of obsessed with them. Now I have a few titles that I'll have to rebuy for the awesome digibooks.

Yeah, I like them when they're the regular or thicker Digibooks like Warner releases. The ones that 20th Century Fox have released (Tora! Tora! Tora!, Wizards, etc.) are rather lame though...very thin, cheap disc insert, and the spine is often crooked/bent due to the thinness.

I actually just ordered another one last night. The Shawshank Redemption was free from Warner...since they've now discontinued their rewards program . It was one of the few decent choices for the free title with my remaining points.
