I'm am tempted to say Jamie Lee Curtis....

But then there is Linnea Quigley.....

Performance and appeal are key factors in this, so I have to say Jamie Lee Curtis, without a doubt. No other scream queen can touch her.

There wil always be a place in my heart for Linnea Quigley, but my favorite current scream queen is Alan Rowe Kelly.

I love Jamie Lee Curtis, but Amy Steel did a pretty spectacular job in Friday the 13th: Part 2, and though she may not be the most accomplished actress, I also have a soft spot for Dana Kimmell (Sweet 16, Friday the 13th: Part 3). Cécile de France may only have one horror title to her credit (Haute Tension), but what a powerful performance!

I'm coming up with almost blank here. But, because she worked with 3 of the American Masters of Horror (Romero, Craven, and Carpenter) - I'm going with Adrienne Barbeau.

But I also really love Linnea.

Linnea Quigley. Many other have came and gone with better looks and better acting, but she was there to shape me into the horror fan I am today. Jamie Lee is close runner-up, and with a bit more gratuiyos nudity would've won.

I would pick Linnea Quigley but I also enjoy Brinke Stevens and Michelle Bauer. I met Linnea at a Fangoria weekend of horrors and she signed this poster.

Does Margot Kidder count? I think her performance and character in Black Christmas was probably my favorite female in a horror flick. The fact that Bob Clark wrote all her character's stuff is even more impressive, considering.
