Whew! I'm glad I ran into this thread. I've been thinking about picking this up off eBay. What do you think chances are that this release will be cut or inferior to the Elite disc?

Nice. I'll be picking up the new DVD so I can finally check this one out. I'm really digging the cover art.

I'm holding out until I have confirmation on the quality/extras. I have the Elite disc, but I don't another SID & NANCY or THE WARRIORS situation where the new release is inferior to the one I immediately sold.

The prices have already come down. Last week the cheapest copy was $50 and now you can get it new for $20.

I just looked on Amazon.com, and a 25th Anniversary Edition is coming out on DVD November 24th.

Which was most likely just a port of the old Elite DVD's transfer. I wouldn't be surprised if that will be the case with this re-release also. Liberation are sketchy at best. Simply putting "25th Anniversary Edition" on the cover doesn't guarantee anything.

I'll wait until I hear of any confirmation of new extras before pre-ordering this one. Just because it's a re-release doesn't mean it'll be better than the old release.

Im gonna be pissed if there arent any new extras. I've always wanted to see the cut scene that was only released in overseas. The scene with a piano I believe?

I'll probably be adding this to the collection as long as it's as good a transfer as Elite's.

I don't care too much about the extras as long as we get a good transfer. I'm glad too that I didn't pay those fuckin' ridiculous Amazon and E-bay prices. Now how about re-releasing the Slumber Party Massacre discs?
