I have the uncut DVD, seeing as I live in Canada. And Next Generation is a guilty pleasure of mine. The tow truck scene where the guy gets ran over for literally 5 minutes cracks me up every time.

What does the Canadian DVD look like as opposed to the US version?

It's full screen as well, where as the cut American DVD is widescreen I believe.
I picked it up for like $3 and thought it was fairly enjoyable. The worst of the Chainsaw films in my opinion, but not horrible like a lot of people make it out to be. Then again, I enjoyed the third film quite a bit, and loved the remakes. |

I've never personally seen the cut.....
But I like the film as it stands....

Assuming the third party sellers categorized their edition correctly. On a side note, while the DVD is full frame, it's actually open matte, not pan & scan. However, the actual V/A quality is better on the Columbia disc. Now when are we going to get this classic on blu ray with commentary by the two leads?

I just picked up the uncut version at Zellers (Canadian department store) the other day for $2.99. I figured for the sake of completing the TCM section on my shelf and having the uncut version, it was worth three bucks.
Keep in mind I haven't seen it before. |

Does this look like a Lionsgate DVD?
The Columbia "lipstick" cover looks a bit different, right? -

When you compare the spines they are noticably different. I just found the CA version and grabbed it to complete the collection. It certainly is the worst of all the TCMs so in a weird way its funny I get teh "longer" version of a bad movie. I agree the towtruck scene played longer and McConaughey plays it with such glee. I wish they actually showed something. I really need to watch the US version again to compare but I just could not put myself through another viewing so soon.

Please tell me I didn't just watch that? Can someone confirm I got this correct please.....
'The family' aka Mr. Matthew Mcconaughey and leatherface are doing the killing, due to actually being controlled by some government agency that control them via a chip and remote control to kill? |
