There has been a lot of good ones. I'm kind of spoiled because I have a huge about of DVR'ed HD horror movies. But the ones that really made me go wow on Blu-ray (and HD DVD) are

Friday the 13th part 2 Blu-ray
Wow! Much better than any other HD broadcast print.
More picture, brighter, more detail.
Makes the DVD look like mud.

Jason vs Freddy Blu-ray
Amazing detail above the DVD. Ultra detailed image.

The Thing (HD DVD) Blu-ray has DNR
Amazing detail above the DVD

Shawn of the Dead (HD DVD)
Quite possibly the most detailed movie on HD media.

Dawn of the Dead remake (HD DVD/BR)
Watch Ving's face after the intro.
The DVD looks way too blurry and blown out.

I'll add a few Broadcast HD prints
The Birds
(Just jaw dropping clarity! Like a new movie.)
Psycho
F13 part 6

I think it has a little to do with how much you like a film and how many times you've seen it.The Blu-Ray of Assault on Precinct 13 is my #1 pick. I love that movie and was surprised at how much improved the disc was over Image's old DVD, and that DVD looked pretty good to begin with. I'm really enjoying the Bond films too. I'm surprised no one mentioned them.

The first Blu-ray I ever watched was HALLOWEEN and it absolutely blew me away. I remember feeling the same the first time I ever saw it on DVD but seeing it on Blu-ray was as if someone had sprayed Windex on my eyes and wiped them clean.

I'll second Day of the Dead (1985). The image clarity is amazing. The detail around Logan and Bub's eyes is so crisp that you can make out the blood pumping under the flesh of their eyelids.

The Incredible Hulk
The Dark Knight

Those two are the best I have on Blu Ray, Everything from picture to sound to quality of the film is just WOW.
