Terror Express ~ "Italian Genre Cinema Collection" continues!!

Yes, you read that right. The Sazuma series which brought us "Last House on the Beach" and "Suspected Death of a Minor" will continue!

Not by Sazuma, but by "Camera Obscura". Don't know the label, though.
According to them, everything will be like the Sazuma releases but with a different label.
First release, or third, depending how you look at it, will be the Ferdinando Baldi classic "La Ragazza del Vagone Letto" also known as "Terror Express":

Here's the link (in German):

I've never heard of that one but it does sound pretty entertaining; I'll check it out once released! This is the second time I've heard the name Camera Obscura, I hear they're releasing Vase de Noces (aka "The Pig Fucking Movie") in a few days as well.

Indeed! Here's hoping for some unreleased (= English Friendly ) Italian goodness! (this one was previously released by RARO without an English option)

Looks like a fun film. A bit like Aldo Lado's Night Train, which I enjoyed.
I'm sure I'll pick it up.

Like the previous Italian Genre Cinema Collection releases, this one will also be entirely English-friendly. No worries there!

Not to step all over Camera Obscura, but here's what they posted on another forum about two days ago:
Quote:
The DVD will finally be shipped Wednesday next week. We had serious problems with several replication plants in Germany because of the "bestiality" themes of the movie. Nobody wanted to replicate, and it took us a while to find a French replicator who was willing to produce the DVDs.

It is a 2-disc set with a 72-minute documentary featuring Thierry Zeno, the director, and Dominique Garny, the star of the film. They will answer each and every question you might have about the movie after watching it (and most people do have a lot of questions after watching...). It's an amazing piece. There's also a short intro and outro by the two filmmakers as well as a multi-angle comparison between the crappy internet bootleg download and our amazing new transfer. We also improved the transfer a little, which makes it better than the Swedish disc. For example, the top matte error is gone, and it's encoded at the highest possible bitrate.

Sounds excellent.

Yeah, well, the replication problem wasn't so hot, though. We even got a legal assessment from a famous German lawyer which stated that distributing the film in Germany would not be criminally liable -- but even this didn't convince them. It was a sad and nerve-wrecking process. I'm so glad the DVD is almost out now.

It's bound to show up here:
http://shop.dtm.at/ and probably here as well:

http://www.omg-entertainment.nl/

You could try Diabolik, HKFlix, Absurd Online and since this will probably have Italian audio, Kultvideo.

Only "problem" for non-Europeans would be the F'n Euro. This release won't be cheap. I guess round the 25 Euro mark. That's $36 ex. postage.
