Is there a decent release of Bad Taste that isn't the OOP AB one?

Yeah I don't know if it is print any more, but Universal Home Video in Australia released a special edition of BAD TASTE on DVD a few years ago that had commentary and interviews from the cast on it.

Yeah that Aus DVD release looks good. Not sure how the quality is but for extras it's the best sounding one to date.

Avoid this...it's not legit. Looks and sounds terrible.

The Universal Australia release uses the same transfer and sound as the Anchor Bay edition...it's the way to go.

I own the Universal Australian R4 collectors edition DVD, its definitely the best version you can get at the moment, maybe the best altogether. The picture quality is virtually identical to the AB release, plus you get a good few new extras not on any other version. I'm not aware of another release with an audio commentary, just a shame that Peter Jackson didn't take part. You can pick this DVD up fairly cheap on ebay as an Australian import, I got mine new for $11.95 AUD ($9.58 USD / £5.86 UK) including shipping.

Here is what you get in addition to the movie in 1.66:1 PAL Anamorphic;
