Favorite Friday the 13th Tagline
We've been talking about the cover art for the recently announced Deluxe Editions of THE NEW BLOOD and JASON TAKES MANHATTAN, and that got me thinking about how well Paramount had promoted the films back in the day. To be more specific, the taglines they used were great fun. Which is your favorite?

I choose the 3'd for Part 3, as I'm a HUGE mark for Part 3. However, the original I must admit, is pretty damn good if even re=used today for the remake, if they had choosen to.

LOVE the original. It's got a touch of Crazy Ralph in there and makes you really want to know who "they" are and what the hell is going to happen to them!

I went with the first one. I’ve always liked the line in trailer. “You may only see it once, but that will be enough.” Cleary they didn’t think that one through.

First one by far, the poster for the original Friday is on the wall just right in front of my bed, so I'm always reading it and thinking "this is just great...", or reading it out loud with different creepy voices to make it sound cool.
The other ones are too "aware" of themselves, self referential would be the word. |

Went with Part 1's.
But I like 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, and dare I say, 10's. Part 6's 'Kill or Be Killed' seems a bit...well...you could use that for anything. 7's is kind of boring (hey, just like the movie!) ![]() 9's is alright, but it had more potential. The remake's line is the worst. 'Welcome to Crystal Lake'? WTH? Worst tagline of 2009. I'm predicting. I second the love on 'You may only see it once, but that will be enough.' Like, after seeing the trailer, I thought "Hmm...mmm...hmm?...Wait, they sound like they're trashing the flick they're promoting! WTF?" Awesome anyways. |

Definitely part 1. I think the original poster for the film was some of the best advertising for a horror movie, period.
"They were warned...They are doomed...And on Friday the 13th, nothing will save them. Friday the 13th. A 24 hour nightmare of terror..." I still gotta get my Friday part 1 insert framed. ~Matt
