I am really looking forward to Zombieland. Not since Casino Royale have I been this excited to see a movie in the theater. I also plan on seeing Halloween II.

I can't remember ever seeing a horror movie in the theater. I usually perfer to see them in private after the wife goes to bed.

Definitly planning on seing Final Destination and Halloween 2, probably together on opening day.

After seeing the trailer for Jenifer's Body last weekend (either before District 9 or Perfect Getaway), I can say for a fact I will not bother with that movie until it comes on cable, and even then I'll probably skip it. It just looks stupid as fuck, and Megan Fox is stupid as fuck, I'll have to see some incredible reviews to even start to pique my interest.

Zombieland looks like it could be fun.

Saw 6 is no brainer, the girl and I have a tradition of catching Saw flicks opening weekend.
Shutter Island for sure, probably Sorority Row, girlfriend more hyped than me, but due to her love of the original which looks to have nothing in common with this besides title.

Haven't heard about Whiteout, going to do research.

I will have to wait for dvd for each of these since I hate going to the movies. I used to love it before every annoying teenager in the world became horror fans and acts like shitheads while I am there.

I'm most looking forward to four of these films: Halloween II, Zombieland, The Stepfather and Shutter Island.

Yep that's pretty much the main reason I'll be seeing this one as well...but the trailer looked decent as well....of course there was a lot of Amber in it.

Also want to see Zombieland, Sorority Row and maybe The Final Destination. I'll prob see the rest eventually on DVD....well I may see Saw and Halloween if my friend makes me go.

Omg, when the hell was this announced?!? I used to have all of those books in hardbacks when I was in middle school!!! Ahhh!! I cant wait, but I'll probably be dissapointed. Why do people insist on cramming 2 books into 1 movie? I hope its not going to be like Series of Unfortunate Events again. That was a BAD movie if you've read all of the books like I have.

I'm crazy excited about most of these titles! I'm even excited about Halloween 2, despite the fact that I hated Zombie's first one.

I'm also still dying to see Orphan and District 9 .. I hope they'll both still be playing in New York in two weeks!!

Planning on seeing District 9 this week and then will definitely be checking out The Final Destination. That is a movie that you have to see in theaters as I'm sure the 3D will look pretty crappy at home.

As for the rest the only one I'm really excited about is Zombieland. That just looks like sucha fun movie with a solid cast.

Jennifer's Body could be good due to the writer Diablo Cody, but the trailer didn't impress me too much so I'll have to wait and see what the reviews are like. Same with Whiteout.

Shutter Island looks really good as well, but I have a feeling it will be long, so I might wait until Blu to see that one.

I just saw the trailer for Sorority Row on TV last night. This is another one I really want to see. It looks like one of those good ole fashion slashers from the 80's.

Well, gone goes SHUTTER ISLAND, pushed back by Paramount to a February 2010 launch. Odd move, indeed, since that was certainly the highest profile horror release and really the only one with any semblance of awards season force. I guess with the Oscars opened up to 10 nominees Paramount thinks they can still squeeze in with an early-year release.

I'm definitely psyched for Halloween 2, Jennifer's Body, and Zombieland. Pandorum looks alright. It has a very "Event Horizon" look to it. Whiteout could be great. Final Destination 3 was a bit of a let down, but this new looks like it might be returning to the goofy fun of the second film. I haven't seen a Saw movie in theaters since the second one, but I enjoyed 3 and 4 on blu-ray and still haven't seen 5, so I'll probably wait on this new one as well. I'm iffy on that vampire movie with John C. Reilly. It could turn out to be cool, or be another tween shitfest. The current slew of remakes doesn't really look that enticing to me. Haven't heard much about Carriers.

CARRIERS to bypass the bigger cities

Paramount Vantage’s upcoming sci-fi thriller CARRIERS is about a quartet of young survivors of a virulent plague that has swept the United States, who try to make their way to safety while avoiding potentially dangerous major metropolitan areas. Now Fango has gotten the word that the film’s release strategy is following the same tack.

When it opens September 4, CARRIERS will bypass such larger markets as New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. We got the list of the smaller cities where it will be playing:

* Atlanta, GA
* Charlotte, NC
* Denver, CO
* Detroit, MI
* Minneapolis, MN
* Philadelphia, PA
* Pittsburgh, PA
* Phoenix, AZ
* Portland, OR
* St. Louis, MO
source: fangoria.com

so there's another one that some won't have to worry about checking out. Money saved.

p.s. I just watched the trailer for Carriers. I wanna see it.

I'm only 27 but I know I sound like an old fart when I say none of these films interest me in the slightest. I just don't care about "new" and "trendy" horror anymore. I've given up. I'll stick to my clas-sicks.
