Are you kidding? Looks to me like it's a remake of the remake. And they even threw a rapper in there too. Who wants to try to guess the token one-liners the script has for him to yell out? Jesus Christ, this is going to be the Halloween Resurrection of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise. *sigh*. I'll pass, thanks.

Say what you will about the Platinum Dunes remake of TCM (personally, I liked it), at least that one had an amazing visual style. This just looks flat, boring and unoriginal.

I thought this movie picked up right after the original TCM....so what is with the house looking all nice and clean and stuff? How did it get fixed up? That kinda killed the whole vibe for me. I am still interested in seeing it, but I did not like the trailer. It also should have shown a cameo or 2 of the original cast members to heighten the intrigue.

I loved the original, I loved the remake. Heck, I loved 'em all, even the oft hated Next Generation. It'd be pretty difficult for this to disappoint me.
Very much looking forward to Leatherface's return to the big screen! |

"Lionsgate's TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D continues the legendary story of the homicidal Sawyer family, picking up where Tobe Hooper's 1974 horror classic left off in Newt, Texas, where for decades people went missing without a trace. The townspeople long suspected the Sawyer family, owners of a local barbeque pit, were somehow responsible. Their suspicions were finally confirmed one hot summer day when a young woman escaped the Sawyer house following the brutal murders of her four friends. Word around the small town quickly spread, and a vigilante mob of enraged locals surrounded the Sawyer stronghold, burning it to the ground and killing every last member of the family--or so they thought. Decades later and hundreds of miles away from the original massacre, a young woman named Heather learns that she has inherited a Texas estate from a grandmother she never knew she had. After embarking on a road trip with friends to uncover her roots, she finds she is the sole owner of a lavish, isolated Victorian mansion. But her newfound wealth comes at a price as she stumbles upon a horror that awaits her in the mansion's dank cellars... " |

Didn't care for the trailer. I'll still be checking this out in theaters though.

it looked okay, can't say i was overtly excited after seening the trailer, i will watch it, but as it's been cut it will be a blu ray only viewing (can't imagine lionsgate not releasing an unrated version), no fucking way am i paying to watch a cut version in the cinema.
