Must Buy Blu-ray Horror part 09. My Bloody Valentine 3-D

Must Buy Blu-ray Horror part 09. My Bloody Valentine 3-D - Blu-Ray

With another strong victory, My Bloody Valentine 3-D gets the 4 votes in for the next Blu-ray on the list.

I'm going to make this thread about movies that are just "Must Buy" Blu-rays.

So let's pick some more Blu-ray Horror and the one that gets the first 4 votes will be placed next in the list. Or the Blu-Ray with the most votes by the end of 4 days, based on which comes first.

Must-Buy: 01. Child's Play - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 02. The Thing - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 03. The Shining - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 04. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Original) - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 05. Friday the 13th part 2 - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 06. The Descent - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 07. Halloween (78) - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 08. An American Werewolf in London - Blu-Ray
Must-Buy: 09. My Bloody Valentine 3-D - Blu-Ray

So if you haven't picked up My Bloody Valentine 3-D, I really suggest you look into adding it into your Blu-ray collection. If you've bought it, I'd love to read your comments on the disc. Image, sound. If you haven't, will you be buying it? And lastly select a movie you own on Blu-ray as a must have, the first movie with 4 votes will make the list.

I will start the next thread with my selection, so to begin, I choose:

Dawn of the Dead (Original) - Blu-Ray

Damn, it's a choice between the original Dawn and Let the Right One In which I also love...

Dawn of the Dead (original) - Zombies aren't really represented yet.

How the shitty MBV remake got voted in is beyond me... Sure PQ might be great, but 'must buy'? Nah uh...

But as I've been toting for the last few entries: DOTD ('78). PQ is amazing on the Blu. I never ever realized the beveled edge on the opening titles until the Blu, prior it just looked like flat text!

The next must-have Blu should be the original Friday the 13th. It does have that issue with part of the screen info being removed from the shots I saw on the review here, but man does it look great. Classic film as well. I wouldn't vote for Dawn just because it has nothing approaching the extras on the Ultimate set, and I won't buy it until it does.
