edit This is the official words of Walter on that announcement... sorry guys but that page isn't official and had no more value than any other gossiping from any forums posters. "I love these "exclusive" announcements that are not true. Whats next,a exclusive announcement I am releasing WITHOUT WARNING, PRINCE OF DARKNESS, RAWHEAD REX, etc." Last edited by Jimmy S; 11-19-2012 at 01:00 AM. Thanks for the warning, Jimmy. The page looked like an official Scorpion page. Must be some fanboy running it. Oh, well - I'm happy with the upcoming Scorpion release schedule so far. Can't wait to see TOWER OF EVIL and MONSTER CLUB in high definition! Last edited by elDomenechHDG; 11-19-2012 at 06:38 PM. |

Seeing the action list I'm glad I didn't pick up Captain America 1990 on DVD-R now (seriously, why buy anything MOD anymore?) and I'm psyched to see the Bruce Lee stuff on Blu-ray if they can swing it. Shout's really blowing everyone else out of the water right now. I hope they don't get stretched too thin and we see a repeat of BCI.

Man, can't wait. I already own Halloween 2 and 3, Funhouse, and Terror Train on Blu-Ray, and stoked for the following, which I will be purchasing:
Terrorvision/Video Dead, 2 days before my Birthday Incredible Melting Man Scanners 2 and 3 The Fog The Howling Lifeforce Night of the Comet The Burning Day of The Dead - Even though I currently own it on Blu-Ray, maybe there will be new extras

I don't think it's necessary to worry about a BCI-level catastrophe happening to Shout. Cliff mentioned the company's acquisitions of the animated titles being very lucrative for them. It's also the reason they're not doing Ms. 45 (too graphic) but I can't imagine the MGM stuff bombing big-time. Not everything they're releasing will appeal to everyone but you can't argue with the fact that there IS something for everyone in this batch.

It's a tad on the naive side to think that Shout/Scream will be giving us every title we want from the MGM MOD list. Based on what Shout said about the Corman line, I would think they would be a great deal more careful with obscure titles going forward. That's why you see low-sell titles like The Video Dead and Terror Vision being paired up. Better chance of a blind-buy if you its a two-fer.
While higher profile favorites like Rolling Thunder and The Incredible Melting Man will receive DVD and Blu-ray releases, it's doubtful many cult faves and rarities from the MOD line will see the light of day past DVD-R. There's a new Amazon sale on the MGM MOD titles right now ($13.99 again) and I will be picking up Mercenary Fighters and The Iron Triangle. Doubtful that Shout ever releases these two, unless they do some sort of special Cannon Films set. Doubtful.

Unholy Rollers FINALLY!…Awesome. Hope that one gets the BD treatment. Damn shame Claudia Jennings had to die so young. Would have loved to see if Shout! could have gotten some extensive interviews with her for these releases.
Not sure if I’ll pop for Rolling Thunder…I already own the Region B release. The extras will need to be top notch, but coming from Shout!, odds are I’ll be double dipping. Can’t wait for the Exterminator 2 and the Bruce Lee flicks as well. Man, Shout! is just on a whole other level. |

Cover art for From Beyond. Pretty awful, if you ask me. This dude's art has been getting worse and worse for Shout. Maybe it's time to change things up?
![]() Oh yeah, nice to see Dark Angel (I Come in Peace) coming from Shout. I'm glad they're rescuing some of these MOD titles, because I hate fucking buying dvd-rs. But seriously, if Shout didn't somehow grab New Year's Evil with these other acquisitions, I'll be super bummed out.
