Oh, shit, Bruce Lee's not on Blu? Damn it!

For me however there's nothing more exciting then the next MST3K release as Alien From L.A. is an MGM title and Mole People is a Universal title. A lot of titles I thought impossible for release are coming true. I'm going to be snatching these boxsets up day and date as I don't want to have another recall like Vol. 9 and Vol. 10 over licensing.

btw. death valley looks great on blu-ray. intresting fact on commentary is that it was shot in 1980, and theres proof. in a scene they drive past a movie theater showing the blue lagoon released in 1980..

Very disappointed on the Bruce Lee films. I will stick with the dvds I already have. Happy to be getting Westworld, Futureworld, and Lifeforce.

Definitely looking forward to a lot of those releases. I hope most of them come with a mini-poster.

I almost put this in the Black Friday thread but Shout's having a fairly good sale for the Holidays:
http://www.shoutfactory.com/holidaysale
http://www.shoutfactory.com/grabbag

Includes Halloween 2, Halloween 3, Funhouse and Terror Train together for $69.99 along with their exclusive goodies.

I picked up the 5 disc 8 films Gamera set for $29.99. Along with Sarah Silverman complete series and Battle Beyond the Stars Blu-ray the S&H came to $8.99. But even if you front load that onto just the Gamera set at $38.98 that's only $7.80 a Gamera disc.

"These limited-time discounts end on Monday 12/17/12 at 11:59PM PST."

Defintely buying Lifeforce and Futureworld, to go with Westworld. I have been praying for Futureworld on Blu-Ray for almost 2 year now.

Cliff chimed in on The Fog thread on Blu-ray.com:
Quote:
We are doing a new transfer of the film ourselves.

I do not use DNR. That is used on the transfers done by some of the studios, not by me.
http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.ph...8&postcount=84

So Day of the Dead may be a new transfer too then. I hope so as I was expecting it to be a rehash of the AB transfer based on previous Universal releases.

Looks like we were all premature on that, Cliff said in the AV Maniacs interview that a boxset is coming, apparently in July (I didn't watch it, was too difficult). They're releasing some fairly unknown Jackie Chan titles on Blu-ray so they MUST be doing Bruce Lee on Blu.
