The preorder for Shout's DIRTY MARY CRAZY LARRY / RACE WITH THE DEVIL blu ray is already up:

Low price, too. At the time Shout produced the DVD, a few people were upset that a rumored featurette wasn't included. The documentary's producer Chris Poggiali recently hinted that it'll finally be included on this blu!

Shout! Factory releases CRIMEWAVE in a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack May 14. The first film by director Sam Raimi and producers Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell, who also has a supporting role as “Renaldo the Heel,” following THE EVIL DEAD, it’s the bizarre story (scripted by Raimi, Joel Coen and Ethan Coen) of a security guard (Reed Birney) framed for murder, who flashes back to his story while sitting in the electric chair. The real killers are a couple of exterminators (Brion James and Paul L. Smith) who double as hitmen, who set out to eliminate the man who hired them and his wife (Louise Lasser). The discs will present the movie in anamorphic 1.78:1 widescreen, with Dolby Digital sound on the DVD and DTS-HD Master Audio on the Blu-ray. Fango got the scoop that special features will include audio commentary by Campbell, plus new interviews with Campbell and others involved with the film; retail price is $26.99, and you can pre-order it here. After the Jackie Chan double feature debacle, looks like Shout's release of Joshua Tree only includes the R rated cut, not the uncut version found on the old DVD from Artisan. This is hugely disappointing! I wonder if a print of the uncut version doesn't exist? Either way they could have included it in standard def. as an extra or something.

Shout! Factory has announced a 21 May Blu-ray release of Captain America. This 1990 film with Matt Salinger and Ned Beatty will arrive with a 1080p transfer, though audio specs and bonuses (if any) remain unconfirmed. SRP is $14.97.

FYI - The Island and Death Valley Blu's are $17.89 at DDD right now. Halloween III is $18.11. I picked up all three with that FB 10% discount for under $50.

i was able to get The Island at WalMart for $16 CDN when it was released. Is it retailing for more than that down south?

^ Back in October, DVDEmpire had a sale where Death Valley and The Island were $15.xx, and the others were $16.xx. That's the cheapest I've seen them so far. There have been a few other sales and what not that brought them down to about that price, but for the most part, they've been hanging around $20.
