Looking forward to the TV Terrors DVD. The TV movie genre is a largely untapped potential goldmine - here's hoping that these sell well so that we can get more. I wonder what other TV movies Shout licensed. They must've grabbed a few in a package deal - I'm sure we'll see them all released eventually even if this initial set doesn't move a ton of copies. Wouldn't make any sense to withhold the rest.

So it's actually cheaper to buy the individual Beetlejuice seasons rather than the complete collection. (as of right now) Season 4 obviously is not out yet individually.

Well basically the individual releases are for the casual buyer, families, people who don't have enough money to buy the complete series set.

I started a thread dedicated to the SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE blu-ray here:
http://www.horrordvds.com/vb3forum/s...ad.php?t=45531

Break out your pajamas -- Amy Holden Jones' THE SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE (1982) is getting bumped to blu by Scream Factory! High school senior Trish is hosting a sleepover while her parents are away, inviting the girls basketball team for a night of pot smoking, boy gossip, and power drill dismemberment. You see, an escaped serial killer in a creep van is on the prowl, and Trish's little shindig sounds the perfect place to resume old habits -- like eye-gouging, head chopping, and, of course, drilling, drilling, and more drilling. No pizza deliveryman is safe! Written by famed feminist Rita Mae Brown as a parody of the then-exploding slasher trend, it was filmed by director Jones and producer Roger Corman as a straight teenkill pic, resulting in a fast-paced, bloody, frequently hilarious romp that's now properly regarded as a classic of its type. "She drinks too much milk."

Upgrading from their previous standard DVD release, finalized specs haven't been announced, but I imagine they'll emulate the supplements from the earlier disc, including a director & cast commentary track, a fun making-of featurette (including a visit to the original house!), trailers and more. This is one party not to miss.

From DVD Newsflash's Facebook:

"**** INVASION OF THE BEE GIRLS UNCUT ****

Sean Christopher Borg tells me the INVASION OF THE BEE GIRLS print Shout has on their December 10th release of the Cult Movie Marathon collection that also contains UNHOLY ROLLERS, DEVIL'S EIGHT and VICIOUS LIPS is in his words the UNCUT version. He's done the require comparison. Hmmm, need to put this collection on my Amazon wishlist now.

He's right. From Scream's Facebook:

"BREAKING: NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 2014!

We're thrilled to report today that we are planning to release Brian DePalma's classic 1974 film PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE sometime in the later half of the Summer!

This marks the first time the film will be on blu-ray for the first time in the U.S. and Canada. Expect this to be in the "Collector's Edition" series with new extras but we have no other details to report at this time as our deal for this was literally just signed so stay tuned here in the Spring of next year for more info to emerge."

Steep price, but I might have to bite on that someday. I've probably watched the entire run of that show three times. Once when it originally aired, once in syndication in the early 90s, and back in the early 2000s when Bravo ran it.
