Looking forward to picking up Evilspeak and Final Exam. For a complete set of bonus materials, you'll also need to pick up the Scorpion edition of Final Exam (for the producer commentary) and the UK Anchor Bay DVD of Evilspeak (for the director/Clint Howard commentary also found on the Anchor Bay US disc and the 10 minute longer extended version of the film).

Meat's on the menu when Scream Factory serve up Antonia Bird's cannibal classic RAVENOUS (1999) on Blu-Ray! Banished to the remote Fort Spencer for an act of cowardice during the Mexican-American War, Captain Boyd soon finds himself investigating a traveler's tale of starvation on the trail. However, as his team gets further from camp, legends of the flesh-eating Wendigo resurface and he realizes they may be getting lured away for a purpose... A twisty, surprising, darkly funny studio effort from the mostly-terrible '90s, RAVENOUS flopped at the box office and never really found its proper audience -- I caught it opening weekend with my friend Lucas, and we were the only ones in the theater! Let's hope Shout Factory's reissue finally elevates its status as one of the essentials from a decade without a surplus of them. While supplements haven't been announced, Fox's early DVD release had a few commentaries, deleted scenes and some other goodies; at the very least, let's hope they're ported!

Blu-Ray Preorder (6/3/14) now live: direct link at my Upcoming Releases list:

Oh cool. I'm really interested to see how this one turns out. I really didn't like the color timing on the UK release.

Love the film, but I'm really getting sick of these covers. They're all the same.

I doubt it was intentional, but you just made a hilarious Justine Osborne joke.

I've never seen the film, but I think this one works better than most. I like how the keyboard kind of wraps around and frames the characters, while interacting with some of them. it seems a little more cohesive than some of the other floating head jobs.

This is one of the rare cases where I think Osbourne's work fits the film perfectly. This actually looks like it could have been a poster for the film back in '74. He nailed the tone, at least. REALLY looking forward to this release.

One of the few movies from Terror in Ailses that I've never actually seen, nor had any interest. Do we like this and if so, why?

Everyone tells me I like De Palma too much but this is, I think, one of his best films.
