Here's something I missed from earlier this year:

"Louis Byron "Lou" Perryman (August 15, 1941 – April 1, 2009), also known as Lou Perry, was an American character actor. He acted in a number of small roles both on television and in films such as The Blues Brothers, Poltergeist, Boys Don't Cry and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2.

He was a film crew member on the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre film.

Perryman was killed in his home in Austin, Texas on April 1, 2009, allegedly by a 26-year-old man named Seth Christopher Tatum. He had been stabbed several times with a sharp object."

Yes,I had read about that one, dreadful story.

Of the well reported deaths Natasha Richardson's was the most startling to me.Awful, such a simple thing leading to such a tragedy.Brittany Murphy's passing was also a jolt.So young.Terrible.

holy shit. just last week i was watching the bonus material for tcm2 and virtually every cast and crew member interviewed went out of their way to praise the guy. until then i wasnt aware of him at all. he seemed like such a genuinely nice person. not that anyone deserves to die that way, but it seems particularly awful when it happens to someone like that.
